Dear Mr PresidentI would like to congratulate you on wining the elections, but also I would like to congratulate you on the elections itself. It was a wonderful experience for all of us. I know that the opposition is still debating the results of the elections, but I will leave that to the people in charge to sort out.

I will cherish this experience not because it was perfect, but because it was a milestone in our democratic process, and promises more successful elections.

Daring the TadpolesThe sounds of your mother’s words stirringly reverberate in your mind as you recollect her ‘tadpole finds the egg’ tale. Innocence at its sweetest, ah bless, until of course, you ventured on risky territory, opened your imphomus Biology book and bam! The wicked, sullied and almost inconceivable reality hit you rock solid in the face and a daunting realization that there will come a time when that fairytale is best suited to Santa Claus’s patrons.

The soft hearted giggles and fantasies were to follow, all fed by the innate female desire to someday name your own. Games of the imagination captured scenes of yourself as a cool, devoted, sexy and in short, The Perfect mum!!

The World is MineMany of us see a wall and think... dead end, we turn and go the other way. But they see a wall not as an obstacle standing in their way, but as a platform to get to the other side of the wall. We go on the roof, stand on the edge, look at the buildings and the streets, and just go back the way we came from. They see a roof as stairs to get to the next roof; the gaps between buildings don’t cause any kind of hesitation in their minds. Everything that we would think of as an obstacle they think of it as a way. Who are ‘they’?

They... are the ones who practice Le Parkour - the art of movement. This movement which started just few years back in the French urban areas is becoming a global movement.

Transparency & CorruptionNow as you have elected your leader, you ought to hold him responsible and accountable for his acts of leadership. To hold Yemen’s political leaders accountable, citizens and voters must have proper information about government revenues, budget allocations and the implementation of national strategies and developmental plans.
